):
• Semirhage is said to have a ”willful charge.”
• She was indisposed during the Forsaken gathering in chapter 14 in WH. As we know, Traveling and ships don’t mix, so it could be that she was with the Corenne at this point.
• During one of the battles with the Seanchan in TPOD, it rains in sunshine, and Rand thinks about how the men in the Two Rivers used to say that now the Dark One was beating Semirhage; now Semirhage was crying. Then Rand thinks: “… scrawny old Cenn Buie would always snarl that Semirhage would be smarting and angry after that, and come for small boys who did not keep out of their elders’ way. That had been enough to send Rand running, when he was little. He wished Semirhage would come for him now, right that instant, He would make her weep.” Coincidence?
• Anath is “new” in her position; it’s only two years since Neferi, Tuon’s previous Soe’feia, died unexpectedly. And what else happened a little over two years ago? That’s right: The Forsaken was freed.
• Both Anath and Semirhage are tall, both dresses in black, both has black eyes, both have nearly black skin, and both are described as beautiful.
• The most important point: When Tuon once asked Anath to set her a penance, Anath had been “almost tender about it, in an odd fashion” but nonetheless left Tuon weeping for days. “Almost tender in an odd fashion” sound kinda like “taking delight in it,” don’t you think?
• Mat notices that Anath almost has no “Seanchan drawl” to her language.
