Dear Harriet,
My name is Jon Magne and I have been a great fan of your late husband’s marvelous fantasy series “The Wheel of Time” for almost as long as I can remember. I’m writing to you on behalf of myself and the rest of the members of the Norwegian WoT message board at “The Pattern” - www.tidshjulet.net/forum.
We wish to offer our deepest condolences to you and the rest of your family. Even though we didn’t know him beyond what he wrote, throughhis work James was like a close relative to many of us. His work has influenced and touched so many, and I for one know with certainty that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without him. Our thoughts have gone out to him ever since we learned of his horrible disease and his passing has aggrieved us to no end. However, we’re also proud of his courage and strength-of-will in the face of such a mighty foe. He fought and loved to the end. Surely these are characteristics of a good man and a true inspiration.
Our Robert Jordan is already sorely missed by millions of fans across the world, but we know that you and your family must feel the loss far more overwhelming still. Our small community is a tight-knit one, almost like a small family in and of itself. We have much to be thankful to James for, including bringing us together through his writing, and we also carry with us a great deal of respect for the man that, all though unbeknownst to himself, made a place for us not only in his imagination, but also in a somewhat more real realm. In instances such as this, words do not suffice, but at least we hope they offer some small consolation as we now by this wish to pay our respects to a truly great man in these undoubtedly sad times
Here follows the names of the board members that wished to be mentioned in this official letter:
"Ola Nordmann"
"Kari Nordmann"

But neither the conductress nor the passengers were amazed by the most important thing of all, namely, that a cat was not merely getting on a streetcar, which wasn't so bad, but that he intended to pay his fare! - Mikhail Bulgakov

Brevet var kjempebra
Men en ting. "Here follows the names of the board members that wished to be mentioned in this official letter: "
burde kanskje vært noe sånt som:"Here follows the names of the board members that wished to (send their condolences/show their respect) in this official letter"
Ellers har jeg overhodet ingen ting å "klage" på, kjempebra brev.

Yeah, I kinda did. Hey, Tolkien was the guy that spoke seventeen languages. As for me, I... I'm, um, really good at Final Fantasy VI.

@ninin: Ja, jeg kan se den. "Show their respect with this letter" blir nok den endelige versjonen.

Samme avsnitt, "strength-of-will" til "willpower".
Ellers virkelig et strålende brev, Lotta.
